“Every great building once began as a building plan. That means, sitting in that building plan on the table is a mighty structure not yet seen. It is the same with dreams.”

Sitting at a table with dreamers is how Kristian Vincent of Paradise Construction begins each job that he commits to.
He may sit with potential homeowners a dozen times before his crew puts a shovel in the ground because every project must be built first on paper.
Plans are presented, designs are drawn, potential hurdles are anticipated and the project is prioritized from beginning to end in order to fulfill every detail of the homeowners dream.
Now reaching its seventh year in business, Paradise Construction has just completed a full start-to-finish custom designed and built home. Located on Brady Road in Napanee, this custom home began with a floorplan specifically designed to meet the homeowner’s needs.
Using a wheelchair and walker, the home owner needed specific dimensions and an accessible layout. The one-level bungalow is an open concept style with spacious living areas and barrier-free elements throughout, such as walk-in shower stalls, sliding pocket doors and wider than average hallways. The kitchen is a custom design build and features granite counter tops.
As licensed ICF installers, Paradise Construction was able to meet the homeowners desire for an energy efficient home by using insulated concrete form construction. ICF holds heat better than traditional framing. Combined with in-floor heating and a forced air furnace, this house is ready to withstand any Canadian winter.
To enhance energy efficiency, all indoor and outdoor lighting are LED lights.
The exterior of the home is handsomely accented with modern stone and features an enormous finished garage. All entry ways are level with the surrounding exterior.
Upon completion, homeowner, Anne Marie expressed their gratitude.
“Ron and I are very grateful for the house,” she says. “Kristian and his guys worked hard to make sure all Ron’s needs were met for his health. He also enjoyed talking and watching the boys work. Thank you. Everyone that’s been here loves the house. Be proud Kristian and guys.”
While certainly able to complete big building projects, Paradise Construction is also eager to take on smaller, unique home enhancements like the sunroom and deck recently added to a Clipper Court home in Kingston’s east end. Paradise Construction built a beautiful, spacious addition off the back of the home. Finished with hardwood to blend into the existing space, this room more than doubles living area during the spring, summer and fall seasons.
Flooded with light through functional skylights and enhanced with LED lighting, this room can be used for multiple purposes throughout most of the year.
The deck is a level walkout constructed from maintenance-free composite material featuring a criss-cross pattern and double border trim.
Paradise Construction builders added a privacy wall to match the decking and skirted the perimeter.
A light valance was added featuring LED light strips to extend deck use into the evenings. Aluminum railings with tinted glass inserts add a modern touch and provide both privacy and wind protection without obstructing vision.
To ensure years of use, the framing is protected on the top edge with “G tape” which guards against standing water.
The structural members will last the life of the composite decking.
If you are dreaming of ways to expand your living space, or enhance what you already have, Paradise Construction can make your dreams come true.
Kristian will be eager to sit down and discuss designs with you whether your project is a bathroom renovation or a start-to-finish custom build.
He has the knowledge and experience to take your plans from paper to the building site. His crew will complete the construction efficiently and exquisitely.
