Let’s talk skin care.  With the dry, cold months ahead, our skin will need extra nourishment and moisture.

Cleanse: I recommend using a multi-tasking cleansing balm that is a nourishing daily cleanser, a melting makeup-remover, and a deeply replenishing overnight mask. My go-to product is Beautycounter’s™ cleansing balm – the balm that does it all!

Exfoliate: I can’t stress this enough! Exfoliating improves overall skin texture, which determines how evenly your makeup will go on. One of the easiest and most effective ways of doing this is to use an overnight resurfacing peel.  It is gentle, safe and chemical free and works while you sleep! My go-to product is Beautycounter’s™ Overnight Resurfacing Peel – revealing a brighter more youthful skin.

Moisturize: Beautycounter™ has developed an advanced moisturizer that uses breakthrough Bio-Mimic Technology! Not only does it provide up to 24-hours of hydration — it actually adjusts hydration levels throughout the day — it harnesses the unique life-giving properties of plants to exactly match the structure of skin, giving it precisely what it needs and nothing it doesn’t.

Let’s talk makeup. With a new season upon us, the colours are changing – not just the leaves, but also our wardrobe and skin.

Skin: Dewy skin with minimal makeup looks healthy and natural. You don’t need to cake on makeup for striking results. A moisturizing foundation with a little concealer and natural brown eyeliner will have you covered during the day. For an evening look, highlight the points of your face where the light hits. Just a touch on your Cupid’s bow, cheekbones, and brow arches gives your skin a naturally beautiful finish. Touch up your lashes with mascara and your ready for an evening out!

Eyes: Monochromatic colour with matching lids and lips and voluminous lashes will warm up any cool fall day. Two-tone eye shadow is a simple application. Pick two shadows and combine them by applying one hue all around your eye, and create a smoky eye effect on top with the other.

Copper brings autumn tones to your eyes with orange-red hues around your lash line. With the brilliant colour of fall leaves comes sunset-inspired gradient on your lids. Silver smoky eyes with a gray gradient effect on lids, keeping darker shades on the outer corners and bringing it in with cooler tones is simple yet eye popping and stunning!

A little goes a long way with halfway eyeliner. End your liner before the inner corner of your eye for a fresh, bright-eyed effect. Jewel tones such as blue and violet will ad a pop of colour. Make it less ‘80s by blending a thin line of black or slate to tone it down.

Don’t forget your brows. Deepen the color of your arches to enhance their shape, and frame those beautiful peepers!

Cheeks: Subtle blush is a year-round must, but this season’s trend is inspired by the rosy glow you get in the exact same color your cheeks turn when it’s chilly outside. So natural!

Lips: Current and plum are the perfect shades for transitioning from a warm to cool season. My go-to is Beautycounter’s™ Lip Sheer or Colour Intense lipstick.
